Welcome to Keep It Reel

Welcome to Keep It Reel, the Charlie Peacock site for bidding on the legacy analog tapes containing some of Charlie’s well known songs from the albums “Lie Down In The Grass (1984-85)”, “Charlie Peacock (1986)”,  and “West Coast Diaries(1987-88).” There are also unreleased song demos scattered through the collection too (most to be released in 2011). This first round of bidding involves original 24trk analog tapes. If you’ve ever wanted to own an original, exclusive piece of Charlie Peacock music history, now is your chance.  Winning bidders become the sole owners of the physical property, not the intellectual property contained within, (but you probably knew that didn’t you?).

Your winning bid will keep Charlie well-supplied with Simply Lemonade and most importantly, will help two worthy non-profit organizations, Blood Water Mission and Art House America.  25% of your winning bid will go toward a gift to BWM and AHA.  Thanks in advance for your kind support.  So, uber-fans, old friends, and supporters of BWM and AHA, let’s raise some funds for these two great organizations and have some fun too!

Here’s an example of what you could do with one of these reels if you are the winning bidder.  A framed and mounted 2″ analog reel from your 80s glory days is perfect for your man-cave or lady-lair!

WHEN? The bidding will begin on Thursday November 11th and will end on  December 9th at 12 Noon.

OPENING BIDS? All bids must start at $50.00 or more.

HOW TO BID?  Bid by leaving a comment with the reel number (001 etc), your name, and how much you’re willing to bid on each post that contains the reel you’re interested in.  You may bid on as many reels as you like, as many times.  Be sure to refresh the page often to be able to see the most recent bid. Once the bidding ends, the highest bidder will receive notification and information for receiving the box, tape reel, and any track sheets that appear in the pictures.

WHAT ABOUT THE MISSING SONGS AND MASTERS? There’s more to come!  Once this batch is finished we will post a new group.  Note: Charlie only controls masters up to but not including The Secret of Time.
